The interfaces we use every day come with a familiar set of expectations. Can you imagine starts with those expectations and follows them somewhere absurd. An Uber hotbox option. A DoorDash bite request. A Hinge feature that lets you preview your date in AR. The joke works because the interface almost makes it believable.
While working at Cash App, Soren began creating satirical versions of familiar apps as a way to bring his interests in design and comedy together. That experiment became a daily practice: take a recognizable product, introduce an unexpected idea, and make it look like a feature someone might actually ship.
The series grew into books and attracted coverage from publications including Wired, Gizmodo, and SF Gate. It also helped lay the foundation for IVERSON, showing how interface design can carry an idea, earn attention, and make people laugh.
